Our staff:

Minister: Dr. Clyde Ervine was raised in a hectic Presbyterian home in Northern Ireland, one of four siblings who indulged in the banging of pianos, doors and egos! He was educated at the University of St. Andrew’s, the University of Cambridge, and Presbyterian College, Montreal. Clyde was ordained in Cornwall, Ontario, in 1980. Since then he has pastored in Sutton, Niagara Falls, Toronto, Hamilton, and now Knox. He also spent six years as a professor at his old alma mater, Presbyterian College, Montreal. Over the years, Clyde has been active in the life of the national church, and currently teaches one course at Knox College, Toronto. He has published a number of articles both popular and theological, and is currently working on what he hopes to publish as a book, dealing with respect in ministry.

Committed in principle and practice to the priority of the congregation in God’s mission, Clyde focuses on congregational preaching, teaching and leadership. He loves to read, attend concerts and plays, walking the dog, watching tennis, or just recovering!

Director of Music, Mr. Ken Hutton.  Ken was born and brought up in Hamilton, later graduating from McMaster University with an honours B.A. and from the University of Toronto with a B.Ed. His professional music education includes studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music, the University of Toronto, the Eastman School of Music, Rochester, and the Westminster Choir School, Princeton. Ken has been Director of Music at Ridley College since 1999, and was Director of Music here at Knox from 1993-2004. We are delighted to welcome him back.

Director of Discipleship: Pat Stinson. Pat was born in St. Catharines and began attending Knox Church when she was 5 with her parents and 3 siblings.  She attended University of Western Ontario to receive her Arts degree and Bork University to receive her Bachelor of Education.  She taught at Campden Public School for a term and then supply taught with the Niagara Board of Education.  Pat has 2 daughters, Meghan and Kathryn, who have given her 4 grandchildren, who Pat loves to spoil.  Pat worked at Knox 1985 to 1992 as Christian Education Director and returned to us in February 2016.  She is loving the welcoming atmosphere and the volunteers working in the children's ministry.  Some changes are happening in the Christian Education area upstairs to make it a more welcoming space for our own and new children and teens to come!
